Hidden files

Is there a way you could add a toggle to use/skip hidden files?
Sometimes I don't want all the photos in a folder shown, so I have them set to hidden. I unhide them on the weekend so they go into the mix, but a simple checkbox on the image selection page would save a lot of time.

It occurred to me today that the hidden file thing seemed familiar, and I found the toggle in the settings. Sorry for not checking more thoroughly before firing off an email.
That led me to another question to which I have no idea of the answer...
Is it possible to treat a saved windows search (.search-ms) as an image location folder? I have rated thousands of photos 1-5 stars and it would be really cool to be able to create a saved search of 5 star photos and use those for display.

That requires a custom API to access those search results. I'll look into it and see how much trouble that's going to be...

Is it the same thing with Zip files?
Having a set of photos in a zip is handy but only windows explorer sees them. Zip support would be awesome. I don't understand why MS wouldn't just make that a system wide thing.
