Could you maybe add radio boxes to the image folder list so rather than remove the folder, it could be unselected for display?

Sometimes I want to add a folder of photos that aren't mine into the mix.

It would be much easier to just click 'enable/disable' than remove it and have to traverse the tree to add it again.

No rush. Just a thought ;)

Improved collage image distribution to overlap older images first.
Set default collage background blur distance to 4 (provides a more gradual effect).
Fixed issue where wallpaper not displayed on Windows Vista when Cross-Fade transitions enabled.
Fixed issue with duplicated themes not updating history view correctly.

There is one thing I've noticed with a copied theme...

It doesn't update the history of the copied theme moving forward. It stops updating at the last viewed image(s) of the original theme.

If I close and restart the program it picks up from there though.

About WallSwitch
WallSwitch is an application that automatically cycles your desktop wallpaper.

You can specify folders or RSS feeds from which images will be selected and displayed. You can choose to have images displayed in sequential or random order, with the possibility of separate images on each monitor.

For those with a multitude of random pictures that would like them to be displayed, there is collage mode. For each wallpaper cycle, a random image is selected and displayed on a random location on the screen, however, the previously displayed images are not erased, but are instead slowly faded to the background color in order to emphasize the newer images.

Features
WallSwitch supports the following features:

Inclusion of folders, RSS feeds, or specific image files for display.
Smooth cross-fading transitions on Windows 7 or later (Aero required).
Apply color effects such as grayscale or sepia.
Sequential or random order for image selection.
For multi-monitor workstations, can display a separate image on each monitor.
Ability to display random images in a collage, where a new image is added periodically, while applying a variety of effects to slowly fade out the older images in the background.
Can choose from a variety of methods used to scale the image to the size of the screen (or not scale, if desired).
When image does not cover the entire screen, can choose color or gradient to fill background.
Configurable wallpaper change frequency.
Hot-key support to quickly change wallpaper themes.
Image history is tracked and displayed on a separate tab.
Application minimizes to the system tray, and can start up with Windows.

Requirements
WallSwitch is built using Microsoft .NET Framework 4. If needed, you can download this here.

Thank you so much for this. I can't image what or how long it takes to create something like WallSwitch, but it's almost everything I've been looking for since active desktop back in 95.

I do have a couple of ideas that would be cool to see, but they're just wishes. It really is everything I want it to be.

It would be nice though, to copy the current theme to a new one so if I feel like messing about with the settings on a Friday night, I don't have to remember what I've changed since I can just delete the new copy, and still have my preferred settings. (I have a tendency to do that)

And, as something that I think would be kinda cool, is if you could switch or invert the faded edges in the collage, so they look like a drop-shaddow. Pictures actually looking like they're sitting above one another on the desktop would look pretty cool.

Anyway. Just thoughts.

Thanks again for all your work. It's the image on a 46in TV in my living-room when I have company over on the weekends.

It doesn't affect anything, but since you've got such a nice program going, I thought I'd mention that your [pause] button is misaligned in your GUI.
